Research has shown that 80% of people will experience back pain at some point.
Back Pain
4 out of 5 people will suffer a back pain episode at least once in their lifetime. This will affect both their fitness, lifestyle, work and relationships.
After an initial episode of lower back pain 44-78% of people suffer relapses of pain, and 26-37% relapses of work absence.
Studies have shown that early interventions from physiotherapy reduced pain in patients with acute lower back pain, resulting in a dramatic reduction in recovery times and return to their chosen activities.
There are many possible causes for your back pain, these can include:
Acute pain
This can be caused by trauma, sudden movements, a fall, overuse, or a sporting injury.
Chronic Pain
This is when you have suffered with your back pain for longer than 6 weeks, or you back pain is recurring often multiple times per year.
